In the research process of wear-resistant materials, it is necessary to measure, compare, and evaluate the anti-wear performance of the materials. For example, components such as pumps, valves, and turbine runners and blades often fail due to cavitation damage.
Cavitation damage is one of the common failure modes in the fuel supply system components of aircraft engines. The components of the aircraft engine fuel supply system work in high-pressure aviation kerosene medium, and the presence of a large number of booster and pump oil components causes significant pressure changes between different parts of the system during operation, which can easily lead to cavitation damage and even component breakdown and fracture, seriously affecting the safe operation of the aircraft engine.

Hangzhou Chenggong Ultrasonic Equipment Co., Ltd. specializes in the cavitation resistance of different materials, referencing the cavitation test standard (ASTM) G32-06 developed by scientists from the American Society for Testing and Materials, and jointly developing and manufacturing a complete high-power ultrasonic cavitation resistance research and analysis system with the Lanzhou Institute of Physical Chemistry, Chinese Academy of Sciences.
Ultrasonic waves, as a method for measuring the cavitation resistance of samples, have been widely used both domestically and internationally. The industry recognized reference standard is ASTM G32-06 developed by the American Society for Testing and Industry. This standard combines various components such as water pumps, water turbines, hydraulic force gauges, valves, bearings, diesel engine cylinder liners, ship propellers, hydrofoils, and blocked internal pipelines in the production and operation processes of industry, aviation, and electricity. It considers various factors that affect material cavitation resistance and evaluates the relative anti cavitation ability of various materials through experiments.
The ultrasonic material anti cavitation analysis system, also known as the high-power vibration ultrasonic cavitation system, is manufactured strictly in accordance with the American (ASTM) G32-06 standard. The system consists of ultrasonic vibration components, ultrasonic experimental control console, reaction kettle (quartz glass container), soundproof cover, and supporting power control cabinet. The reason for choosing vibration method as the standard test method is because it is widely used, relatively simple, and can configure instruments more economically, as well as easier to control important parameters.
Principle:
It will cause cavitation damage to the surface of the sample immersed in high-frequency vibration in the liquid. The vibration of the sample in liquid will lead to the generation and rupture of bubbles, and the collapse of these bubbles will cause damage and erosion (material loss) to the surface of the sample. Ultrasonic cavitation machine is used to measure, analyze, and compare the anti cavitation performance of various materials through experiments.
Meaning and purpose:
Used to evaluate the relative resistance of materials, such as water pumps, water turbines, hydraulic force gauges, valves, bearings, diesel engine cylinder liners, ship propellers, hydrofoils, and blocked internal pipelines. This test method can also be used to screen materials that can withstand sudden liquid impact erosion, such as low-pressure steam turbines and aircraft, missiles and spacecraft that may fly in rainstorm.
Main technical indicators of cavitation machine
The overall equipment complies with the American standard ASTM: G32-10
The control range of the drive power time controller is adjustable, with a maximum set time of over 150 hours
The temperature of the constant temperature device can be adjusted within the range of 23-100 ℃, with any adjustable range and an allowable error of ± 2 ℃
Cover the test container to prevent liquid evaporation. If the liquid is below a certain level, it can be automatically replenished. When the upper limit is reached, it will automatically stop. Otherwise, the system will sound an alarm, stop working, and record the time it has been working.
Container diameter above 230mm
The transducer is cooled by compressed air
The equipment has temperature deviation alarm, low liquid level alarm, automatic shutdown after alarm, and records working time
The test tool head shall be executed in accordance with the American standard ASTM: G32-10
Innovative advantages of the new generation cavitation machine:
1: Using high-power ultrasonic transducers, the working stability is extremely high, and the normal service life is 5-8 years.
2: Use titanium alloy tool heads with replaceable caps.
3: Use intelligent CNC power supply to ensure that the vibration system works in good condition at all times.
4: The reaction solution inside the reactor is always kept at a constant temperature (with a temperature deviation of ± 2 ℃) to avoid inaccurate experimental data caused by unstable temperature during operation.
5: The reaction solution in the reactor can be automatically added and has an alarm for low or high liquid level.
6: The X-Y-Z rack lifting system of the experimental workbench is more convenient to operate.
7: Using computer PC control to achieve functions such as device operation status, parameter adjustment and setting, and experimental data display. (Optional)
