(1):The select directions of the transducer:

  It is well known that the ultrasonic transducer is a part for energy converting. Its function is to transform the electricity power into the machine power (ultrasonic waves) and transfer it out, it consume very a few part of powers (less than 10%). So while adapting the ultrasonic transducer we must consider mostly in the match of input and output, then the machine installation and the assorted sizes. There are many types of ultrasonic machines in the market, the clients must provide us with the exact and authentic character parameters. 1。 Resonance frequency : f, unit : KHz

  The frequency is tested through the trans-line method with the frequency occurrence machine, the voltmeter or other similar instrument. In common, it is named a small signal frequency. With it opposite is the computer frequency, that’s tested actual working frequency after customer connect the transducer to the generator with wire, with empty load or loaded. Owing to the client’s circuit assorted different, the same transducer’s frequency is different match with various generators,which can't be regarded as parameter basis of order.

2. Transducer capacitance : CT , unit:PF

In common, the free capacitance of transducer is tested between 400Hz-1000Hz through Capacitance Bridge, and the impedance analyzer. However, using the general portable capacitance meter is also acceptable.

3. The working type of transducer

Owing to the different processing method and requirement, the working way of transducer can be divided into the continuous working (such as lace machine, CD machine, zipper machine, metal welder etc) and the pulse type work. The various way of working has different requirement with transducer. In general, the continuous working seldom stops while the working current is not big. The pulse type work is interval, but the sudden current is very big. The two kinds of the power are all very big.

4. Specification and the maximum power)

The Complete Machine customer may have different standard with the power by different usage and equipment specification. That is to say, the power of the same transducer is possibly used on the various machines. For avoiding the ambiguity, the clients must explain us with structures of transducer in detail, such as columnar type and upside-down trumpet type, the diameter and pieces of the piezoelectricity ceramics.

5. Installation and fitting dimension 

There are the material of booster, the treatment method of surface and the shape. The connecting screw of transducer and booster, the connecting screw of booster and mold, the diameter, the thickness , the gap of booster or the number and the position of screw hole.

(2):Trial and debugging

  The fit between transducer and generator and horn (sonotrode) is the basis of keeping the reliability of system and the maximal power, however, after the transducer made, there is no part to adjustment at all. Therefore, after the transducer finished, you can only adjust the generator and horn (sonotrode) to fit the working condition of transducer.

It’s suggested to tryout by following steps:

First, adjusting the oscillatory frequency of the generator in the dynamic range of transducer.

Second, adjusting the matched electric circuit to keep the empty current of
transducer less than 0.5A.; adjusting the deviation of voltage less than 0.2V;
checking on transducer to make sure the vibration and heat are in normal.

In the third step, joining the horn with the load, then adjust generator to keep the output power in working level.

In the third place, join the mold, the load and the adjustment electronic box to make the output power to reach the using request.

Finally, when test the whole power at a certain time, inspecting on the change condition of transducer and generator to make sure they are all in the nominal ranges.
